ARCOROC ORIGINAL:
Jonathan Eismann
Restaurant: Q American Barbeque
Location: Miami, FL
Bio:

As the founding chef/restaurateur of Miami Beach’s food scene in 1992, chef/owner Jonathan Eismann’s Pacific Time revitalized Lincoln Road, turning it from a federally-recognized blighted area to one of the premier retail locations in the U.S.  Now Jonathan is bringing the same innovative energy and culinary vision to Miami’s Design District.

Always entrepreneurial, Eismann graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1984, where he was voted “most likely to succeed” by his peers. From 1984 – 1992, his talent and passion brought him to the helm of many of New York’s finest kitchens, notably opening China Grill when it burst upon the scene. Moving to Miami in 1992 enabled Eismann to open his own restaurant on Lincoln Road, changing Miami’s culinary landscape forever. The original Pacific Time, its new incarnation in the Design District, and newcomer Pizza Volante continue to be recognized in national press including Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Gourmet, Esquire and the New York Times.

Located in a one-block area in the West End of Miami’s Design District, Eismann’s four unique restaurants lead national food trends. Besides the venerable Pacific Time and neighborhood newcomer Pizza Volante, (a casual urban-chic Roman-style pizzeria), Fin (a casual a local-only seafood spot) and Q (American barbeque in a down home setting with live music) share the same values of delicious food priced well and served vibrant, fun settings.

Eismann’s passion for excellence, acclaimed culinary expertise and commitment to neighborhoods always serve food lovers well.
